What is it?
- It is a fungus, pink in color, that appears on your lawn after the snow has melted away.
What does it look like?
- It will be pink in color and in patches ranging from a few inches in diameter to almost a foot in diameter
What brings on snow mold?
- Long periods of snow laying on grass that is not frozen.
How do I control snow mold?
- Spring fertilization will help alleviate this problem. Also lightly raking these areas with a leaf rake will improve the air flow through the grass, helping to speed up the recovery.
